Horsefair's FLAIR Nasal Strips Sponsored Riders

We are delighted to be able to sponsor the following riders in 2009.

Kit Thorne owns and rides the wonderfully versatile New Forest pony Buckland Falcon. They started competing at riding club level with the New Forest Pony Enthusiasts Club and were winning members of both the dressage and jumping teams, resulting in the achievement of being the second highest graded New Forest pony.

Kit and Falcon now compete at affiliated level in all disciplines. They began eventing in 2006, and quickly qualified for the Intro Regional Finals, which they gained a second placing. They are now competing at Pre Novice level, and were second to Caroline Moore in the Splillers Horse feeds prelim Combined Training at Hartpury in 2008!

Kit believes the FLAIR Nasal Strips help Falcon, especially cross country where they have to work extra hard to compete with much bigger horses to keep inside the times!

Charlotte Agnew is from a family of horse enthusiasts, both her and her younger sister both event. She has a string of eventers and potential eventers at her home in Scotland. Her current top horse Little Beau (pictured) has taken her from Pony Club right up to completing Badminton in 2008.

Charlotte was introduced to FLAIR Nasal Strips when Little Beau presented with an airway infection. Her vet had warned her that he may not be able to compete at high level again. Charlotte said of FLAIR Strips -

" By using one every time I gallop (twice a week), as well as for every cross-country round, I have been able to maintain his health and his competitive career. So much so in fact, that we have since won a gold medal and finished in the top third at our first Badminton. Little Beau is notoriously fast – he finished 15 seconds under the optimum time at Blair CCI*** that year, which was the first time I had used a strip.

Since I have found them to be so successful they have become a staple part of my cross-country gear, and I have no doubt they aided the success of Out of Africa – who was 2nd in the U21 Championships at Weston last year."
